Ever wonder why you need a mortgage intermediary?
Do you need a mortgage intermediary?
Alison Fearon from Switcheroo.ie provides a simple chart that explains the current mortgage market
The answer is here in this simple chart:
The blue line represents the minimum rates (average LTV) for different fixed periods that are available to a customer who does not use a mortgage intermediary.
The red line represents the minimum rates (average LTV) for different fixed periods that are available to a customer who does use a mortgage intermediary.
There are three very important takeaways from this chart
- If you use a mortgage intermediary (like Switcheroo.ie), you will have access to cheaper rates across all product terms
- If you use a mortgage intermediary, you will have access to longer term fixed rates.
- A number of mortgage intermediaryes have access to both the redline and the blue line
What’s the catch? No catch, it’s a free service and we are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
